In concert with Mackay Council, the Finch Hatton Progress Association Inc. is presently undertaking the rehabilitation of our heritage listed railway station. After protracted consultations and sourcing of quotes, painting is about to commence at our heritage listed rail station house!
Geared for opening in 2020, Finch Central will act as an Information Hub for community members, tourists and visitors. All thanks must go to Leila Verban for successfully steering the project to this point.

A large group of willing volunteers assisted with the pre-paint prep and clean-up on Sunday Aug 25th. Many thanks to all who attended.
Inside is now completed and another session should finish the exterior. We'll keep you posted as the progress continues!
